The Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture is inviting private investors to create Value Chain Companies (VCCs) in the Maldives.
This initiative is facilitated by the Fisheries and Agriculture Diversification Project (FADIP) funded by IFAD and implemented by the Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture. The overall purpose of the project is to develop the fisheries and agriculture sectors of the Maldives through public private partnerships by creating the VCCs.
A workshop for project initiation and familiarization for all stakeholders will be held on 25 January 2010. Interested parties need to register with Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture on or before 15 January 2010 to participate. Click here
The Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture is leasing the V. Bodumohoraa Island for prospective parties/companies/individuals for research and development of Mariculture. Since 1999, the Island has been used as the Research Station of the Marine Research Centre. Click here
