Tuesday, February 25, 2010, Kuala Lumpur – High Commissioner of Maldives in Malaysia, H.E Mr. Mohamad Zaki meets with Chief Minister of Kelantan, Tuan Guru Dato’ Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, Kelantan States Financial Officer, Mohd Fauzdi Che Mamat and state Executive members during a two day official visit to Kelantan.

The High Commissioner expressed hope to obtain knowledge and assistance from the Sate of Kelantan on developing the agriculture sector of Maldives. High Commissioner, Mr. Mohamad Zaki, said that the cooperation can be succeed upon joint venture program and information dissemination about the sector to the public.

During the meeting the Chairman of State Agriculture, Rural Industries and Biotechnology Committee, Che Abdulla Mat Nawi said, state government will pay a visit to Maldives in May to enhance the relationship between the Sate Government.

He also added that the local entrepreneurs will be invited to see the business opportunity in Maldives. “Our target is not only helping the local entrepreneurs but also entrepreneurs in Maldives as well”

Chairman of State Agriculture, Rural Industries and Biotechnology Committee, Che Abdulla Mat Nawi also expressed hope that they would be able to study the technology and fish processing methods in Maldives.
