Monday, January 4, 2010, Kuala Lumpur - The Vice President of the Maldives, H.E Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik visited the High Commission of Maldives in Malaysia today.

The High Commissioner, H.E Mr. Mohamad Zaki welcomed H.E Dr. Waheed and toured him around the premises of the High Commission. H.E Dr. Waheed also met with all staff of the High Commission and signed the visitor’s book. The visit of the High Commission was then followed by a visit to PENGASIH Malaysia. PENGASIH Malaysia is an active organization in Malaysia providing treatment for those suffering from substance abuse such as drugs, chemicals and alcohol. The organization also has worked with organizations in Maldives in the area of training and development.

The Vice President is currently in Malaysia on unofficial visit.
